Sunny days by the beach

I've been blessed with 3 full days of sun!
Unfortunately, I was working during the day.
Darn!
Its been one week since I left home and it's been quite the whirl wind. It took a few days to get accustomed to the time change and change of scenery, and not being able to walk didn't help. But now I'm fully mobile and even had the chance to tour some more this evening after work. The only crappy thing is, the town shuts down at 6. I went down by the beach and got to head over to the big amusement park along the promenade. I was alone and it was dark though, so I didn't stay long.
The other staff members aren't so keen on going out and exploring, so it's hard to get out there on your own. I learned very quickly that Blackpool is a shady shady place, with sketchy sketchy people. Some are great! But others are scary and I don't want to get caught alone in the dark.
Anyways, turns out that the beach is much larger than it looks! It would take about 10 mins to walk to the edge of the water. I didn't quite make it as I wasn't wearing the appropriate footwear. =D  Its very mucky.
Work has been going well, but the shifts are long and incredibly loud! Walkabout is a sports pub by day and a bouncing club by night! I need earplugs to get through it and my ears are still ringing by the time I get to bed - about 5am! (We close at 3 every night, and don't get out till about 430 after cleaning up).
I've decided not to stay at the Walkabout and am hoping I can leave next week for a new destination! It's not worth it to work so hard and then sleep my days away. By the time I get up, town has shut down and its hard to go exploring.
I'm thinking about spending some time in Scotland or exploring other parts of England. I'll have about 10 days to fill before I meet my sister in London! I'll be spending a week with her so we can do a little touring together - just in time for my 25th birthday!
After that I'm thinking of heading to Ireland, then maybe taking an Inter rail tour - kind of like euro rail for locals.
Who knows!
I do know, that things aren't as expensive as I thought they would be. Some facts!
It costs £2 for a vodka and red bull, or £2.2 for a jagerbomb (Keep in mind the exchange rate is only about 1.5)
You can get a pitcher of Sex on the Beach for £5.75
It costs £2 for a bottle of fosters and £3 for a pint of Carling. The ciders that I've discovered are delicious, and are only about £4.4. They go down like juice and you get just over a pint!
Milk can be bought for £1 at the pound stores, as well as a whole box of after eights! mmm
Its only £1 to double up on any liquor - or spirit as they call them here.
Amazing!
I'll try to upload some photos for you guys (I have lots!) - it just takes a really really long time on this comp. (about 15 mins per photo). Tues and Wed are my days off, and I'm thinking about getting out of town. I'll let you know how it goes!
Cheers
