And a variety of other things of course.
Hey everyone!!
I am currently in Venice and I must say, it is FAR lovlier than Naples.
Dont go to Naples. Ever. There is no reason... seriously.
Florence was great! The ufuzzi museum was amazing and the Duomo was beautiful. Sienna has the most stunning chapel.
Tuscany is now blooming with sunflowers! The country side is gorgeous.
Rome is bigger than life. You need a whole week or more just to see the bare minimum. It makes you feel like your stepping into a history book, its so awe inspiring.
Naples is nasty. Its full of garbage and grafitti and bums. But I met the best siblings from New Zealand, they made the trip worth it! I hope to see Nick again in Amsterdam and maybe Jenny in the UK. It felt like we were a little trio exploring the city and now I miss them!
The trip to Venice was 8 hrs by train but I slept the whole way! I just got here yesterday and im staying in a campsite. Yes thats right! A camp sight. Im staying in a little tent with a little bed and its cold at night! But its only 9 euros.
BONUS!
Today I go to take a self walking tour and buy a bunch of masky things and some glass stuff. Things to way my bag down, of course.
Tomorrow I either:
A) Stay one more night in Venice and get my things together for Switzerland. They dont use the Euro so I need to convert my cash
B) Go to Verona and stay with a CSer who can host me
C) Give up, pack my bags and head home.
Finding CSers in Italy has been really hard. Transport is also starting to get expensive. Luckily im still good on funds but my patience is wearing thin with all the planning.
Maybe I just need a morning gelato...
Off I go to tour!
PS heres a belated shout out to all the daddys. Happy Fathers day!
Hey, did you meet up with Alison and Jamie?
