Bonjour mon amis!
(My french is all coming back to me!! No thanks to Telefrancais though)
I am currently in Bordeaux! A pretty large city in the south of France, famous for its wine. I cant begin to tell you how great the weather is! Cause its fantasssttiicc!!!
I was introduced to 2 young guys from Quebec last night and they invited me to the beach today. It was great to be able to speak english all day without any language barrier. Some people speak english ok, others not so much. Anyways, we got to visit 2 beaches and a really awesome sand dune just outside of the city. Im burnt to a crisp!!
Im staying with a friend of a friend while here, and should be headed to Biarritz by the end of the week. I was lucky enough to spend last week in Rennes with Christelle (who i met trough Couchsurfing). She housed me for 6 nights and it turned out to be a great experience!! The first night I arrived, she had a get together planned with some friends so I could meet them and feel a little more at home. We continued to have dinner parties all week and enjoyed the weekend at the market! Saturday for food, Sunday for dresses! For my birthday we had a glass of champagne and headed to a lil hiphop concert to see Grand Master Flash (although we didnt stay to see him sadly). I got to enjoy a night of wine and cheese and bread, and spent one day at Mont St. Michel - an old town on the north shore of France. It was a great stay, and I made some amazing friends. I hope to visit again before I leave - Rennes is full of history and their people are so proud to share it. I have a few recipes I can bring home with me!
Not to sure whats planned for tomorrow, possibly head into town and do some exploring.
